The International Symposium on Bioinformatics (InSyB) bridges the gap between InCoB (International Conference on Bioinformatics) and irregular local Asia-Pacific Bioinformatics Network (APBioNET)-supported workshops or training courses. A mix of keynotes, short talks, discussions, poster sessions, and “meet the expert'' opportunities shall foster an interactive environment for integrated bioinformatics research and education.

The 5th International Symposium on Bioinformatics (InSyB2021) will be hosted by Beykoz Institute of Life Sciences and Biotechnology (BILSAB), Bezmialem Vakif University, Turkey from 15-17th December 2021. This is the first time it will be hosted by an entity in Turkey and due to the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, it will be a virtual event.

Keeping in line with the aim of the Symposium, we hope to bring together the students, academicians, and industry players to share their experiences about the different aspects of bioinformatics and collaborate with each other.
